Story & Atmosphere
Andhra Pradesh Bhavan, nestled near India Gate in New Delhi, offers a warm and inviting experience for anyone seeking authentic South Indian flavors. This eatery stands out for its commitment to quality and taste, presenting classic dishes like idli sambhar, medu vada, and the flavorful paneer handi paired with buttery hot parathas. The freshness of these dishes and their balanced flavors reflect the culinary heritage of Andhra Pradesh, making every bite a delight.
The ambiance is cozy and family-friendly, enhanced by courteous staff who not only serve but also assist customers with local directions and recommendations. The availability of an air-conditioned dining space, along with reasonable pricing, adds to the comfort and accessibility for diners, whether they visit for a quick breakfast or a leisurely dinner.
While the overall food quality is commendable and portions generous, some patrons note the absence of half-plate options, which could prevent food wastage when dining in smaller groups. Additionally, during peak hours, waiting times can extend, which is worth considering when planning a visit.
Cleanliness and hygiene are well-maintained, contributing positively to the dining experience. The proximity to Ambarnath Railway station and availability of two-wheeler parking make Andhra Pradesh Bhavan a convenient choice for travelers and locals alike. The pleasant atmosphere coupled with authentic Andhra flavors ensures that this place is a memorable stop for those who appreciate hearty, traditional South Indian cuisine.
“ Good but they do not have the half .. dishes option as for the two people we have to order a full plate where food gets wasted. ”
“ A nice decent restaurant with basic amenities. Cosy place but it's just fit for families. The food was tasty as well viz the veg Crispy was very tasty and the quantity was also good. Then had paneer handi which was delicious too with butter paratha. The paratha was damn buttery and hot, which increased the fantasy of paneer handi. The lassi was damn delicious . Also the price of the food items were reasonable not much high quoted. Also the staff were helpful in terms of hospitality. Overall a good place to dine with your family and friends. Would love it more if it's served non-vegetarian as well ( being a non-vegetarian). But nonetheless it was fabulous the food, the hospitality, the basic amenities . ”
“ Food is good and tasty. We had our breakfast here at 9 am. Walkable distance and very near to station. Friendly staff and quite helpful. We checked with them for auto to reach somewhere so they guided us. We had ordered Idli sambhar, plain dosa, and medu vada. Service was quick and food was good. Nice place for a quick snack or breakfast time. ”
“ Just be careful what you order(all good items are good, just mind the quantity). If you order too much quantity for less cost just for yourself only rather than your family, then it might be too much for your blessed tummy. Other than that, waiting time is unfortunately quite long. Food quality is good. ”
“ Overall 3.9 out of 5. Food quality is good and Place is hygiene. Ac dining room is available. Free two wheelers outside parking available. Four wheelers parking would be difficult during peak hours. 5 mins away from Ambarnath Railway station. Staff are polite and Helpful. Prices is also reasonable. ”
